Pet Loss Planning & Support

Compassionate End-of-Life Care for your Animal Companions

One of the hardest death and grief journeys I’ve walked through was the loss of my beloved cat Kiki. Her death compelled me to extend my death doula services to animal companions and their guardians. If your pet is your family, your soulmate, or your closest confidant, I see you. And I will honor your bond for the special connection it is. I believe that planning for our pets’ deaths can help reduce stress and ease difficult decisions during the hardest moments of our lives.

While your veterinarian provides medical care and support, I can help you with practical, emotional, and spiritual support. I am available to travel to your home or vet within the greater Springfield, Missouri; Kansas City, Missouri; and St. Louis, Missouri areas. I also offer virtual support for pets and guardians across the USA.

He puts his cheek against mine
and makes small, expressive sounds.
And when I’m awake, or awake enough

he turns upside down, his four paws
in the air
and his eyes dark and fervent.

Tell me you love me, he says.

Tell me again.

Could there be a sweeter arrangement? Over and over
he gets to ask it.
I get to tell.
